The Literary Quarter, or Barrio de las Letras, is one of the most charming areas in the heart of Spain’s capital. It still retains some of the magic it must have had in the 16th and 17th centuries, when great writers such as Cervantes, Lope de Vega, Quevedo and Calderón de la Barca walked its streets.
